Thomas Sarrantonio is an accomplished plein air painter. He combines impressionistic brushwork with a natural sense of colour to create paintings which communicate the essence of a time and place. He is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner grant, and a residency at Chateau Balleroy in Normandy, France. Mr. Sarrantonio has a long exhibition history in New York City, New York State, the Hudson River area, and New England. He is the associate dean of the Visual Arts department at the State University of New York, New Paltz and an instructor of drawing, painting and art history at the university. Sarrantonio is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
